Activation of the cancer immune response by degradation of IDO1

Caption

The cancer cell (blue-grey) inactivates T cell (grey) through the IDO1-promoted breakdown of tryptophan into kynurenine. iDegs (green) bind to IDO1 and cause the cellular breakdown of IDO1. This leads to the activation of T cells and the immune response.
