Communities of color and communities with limited English face a disproportionately high probability of experiencing multiple environmental burdens at once

Communities that face a high number of environmental burdens at high intensity levels have a disproportionately high likelihood of being communities of color or communities with limited English fluency. This relationship was stronger for these two groups than for other socioeconomic characteristics, including income and employment levels.
