In this study, 101 women visiting the Obstetrics and Gynecology Department requiring surgical abortion were approached between March 2021 and March 2022. Of these, 32 refused to participate. Finally, 69 patients were enrolled in the study based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. However, at the time of admission, one patient withdrew consent, whereas two other patients underwent spontaneous expulsion of the POCs, thereby not requiring surgical abortion. Therefore, a total of 66 patients were recruited for this study. After randomization, a treatment plan was formulated. Thirty-three patients in each group underwent PRP D&E or D&E alone. Three patients in each arm did not respond to the follow-up intimation. Therefore, 30 patients were included in the final analysis.
