The core breakthroughs of the new generation of RNA virus detection technologies focus primarily on two key objectives: first, enhancing biosensor mutation tolerance-specifically, developing sensors capable of effective broad-spectrum screening even amidst viral genome variations (Fig. 1A); second, boosting detection precision-creating biosensors that enable fine-grained discrimination of specific mutation sites to differentiate distinct viral variants (Fig. 1B). These technologies provide a robust next-generation solution to the detection challenges posed by rapid viral mutation, thus significantly improving testing reliability and the precision of clinical decision-making.
