Design and imaging performance of the side-viewing axicon-integrated fiber OCT probe. The schematic shows the compact fiber structure that redirects and shapes light for side-view imaging. Measured beam profiles demonstrate ultrahigh lateral resolution at the focal plane and a tightly confined beam maintained across an extended depth of focus of nearly 350 μm. Together, these results illustrate how the probe delivers clear, high-resolution images deep inside narrow spaces without increasing probe size.
