Frozen section of the prostate

This is what a frozen section of the prostate looks like. The researchers drilled small holes to extract tissue samples from areas where the gland contained cancer. It is precisely these tissue samples that were used to identify new markers that can predict which patients will develop aggressive prostate cancer.
