Electrohydrodynamic bioprinting of orientated cell-laden fibrin-alginate hydrogel for highly-aligned skeletal muscle constructs (IMAGE)
Caption
This illustration depicts the novel electrohydrodynamic (EHD) bioprinting process. The electrical force aligns fibrin nanofibers within the bioprinted hydrogel filament, which in turn guides the encapsulated cells into a highly ordered structure, enabling the fabrication of aligned living muscle tissue.
