Comparison of high-temperature resistance between Low-dielectric ceramic fibers and sinoite fibers & Formation mechanism of mosaic-like shell structures (IMAGE)
Caption
Continuous amorphous sinoite fibers with near-stoichiometric Si2N2O composition exhibit low dielectric properties, low density and high strength. Compared to alumina and silicon nitride fibers, sinoite fibers demonstrate superior high-temperature resistance. At elevated temperatures, the surface of sinoite fibers forms a Mosaic-like Si2N2O columnar crystalline shell layer, exhibiting unique high-temperature structural evolution behavior. This represents a novel structural-functional integrated ceramic reinforcement material.
