The First Eco-Friendly Robotic Covers of Ankle and Knee Prostheses made of paper-based composites

Researchers at the Italian Institute of Technology (IIT) replaced the plastic covers of Unico (in the picture) and Armonico with AlkiPaper® biocomposites. The Rehab Technologies Lab at IIT used AlkiPaper® pellets and filaments to manufacture the prosthesis covers using 3D printing techniques.
