Published today in Nature, a study co-led by Kelsey Bertrand, MD, St. Jude Department of Oncology, and Stephen Mack, PhD, St. Jude Department of Developmental Neurobiology, in collaboration with Baylor College of Medicine, highlights a previously unappreciated way in which fusion oncoproteins contribute to cancer, which may spark novel therapeutic strategies.
