The structural characteristics of the patterned electrode with ordered ionomer micropillars clearly reveal the regular, uniform cylindrical structure of the ionomer micropillars on the patterned electrode. These micropillars extend into the interior of the electrode, forming highly efficient proton conduction pathways while simultaneously increasing the electrochemical surface area, thereby enhancing fuel cell performance.
