University of Tennessee, Knoxville Department of Industrial and Systems Engineering assistant professor Rebekah Herrman and (ISE) Professor and Associate Department Head James Ostrowski have received a two-year, $300,000 National Science Foundation (NSF) grant to create quantum computing-based tools that will help researchers and industry engineers quickly determine whether quantum computing can help solve a given two-step uncertainty optimization problem.
