Uncharted island in Weddell Sea (IMAGE)

Participants in an Antarctic expedition on the Polarstern have discovered an island in the Weddell Sea that has not yet been recorded on nautical charts. The island is about 130 metres long, 50 metres wide and rises about 16 metres out of the water.
