Rice grows at the Rice Research and Extension Center in Stuttgart, a University of Arkansas Division of Agriculture facility. Research at the Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station, the research arm of the Division of Agriculture, points to commingling rice cultivars with differerent milling rates as a culprit for falling head rice yields even as grain per acre has increased.
