APOE ε4, but not Alzheimer’s-related proteins, is linked to TDP-43 spread in ALS

APOE ε4 was found to be directly associated with the pathological classification of TDP-43 in ALS, whereas Alzheimer’s disease–related proteins, including amyloid-β and tau, showed no significant effect on TDP-43 classification.
