Junco Warren (center), an assistant professor at the Fralin Biomedical Research Institute at VTC, helped lead a study published in the Journal of the American Heart Association that sheds light on the process of recovery from heart failure. Members of her lab, including (from left) Audrey Korte,  Mysha Alabbi, Alexey Zaitsev, Samia Tasneem, Karthi Sreedevi, and Abigail Doku, study the mechanisms underlying metabolic reprogramming in the failing heart.
