Successful restoration of the length of the axon initial segment.

In the ASD mouse model, the axon initial segment (AIS) was shortened, leading to reduced neuronal activity. Chemogenetic activation of the neural circuit normalized the length of the axon initial segment, restoring proper neuronal excitability (acting like a restored biological "switch").
