Three localization regimes in disordered open systems (IMAGE)
Caption
The signs of two central Lyapunov exponents classify wave localization in one-dimensional disordered non-Hermitian systems. Opposite signs indicate Anderson-localized modes in the bulk, identical signs indicate skin modes accumulated at a boundary, and a zero exponent marks the transition where a unidirectional multifractal critical state appears.
