Trilogy design of cross-linked polyether electrolytes for high-voltage and wide-temperature lithium metal batteries. Schematic illustration of the trilogy design strategy. (①) Tuning the monomer from DOL to THF with a high C/O ratio enhances oxidation stability. (②) Introducing GDE as a cross-linker provides additional Li⁺ hopping sites to boost ionic conductivity. (③) Using LiDFOB as an initiator constructs robust inorganic-rich interphases on both cathode (NCM811/LCO) and lithium metal anode (LMA), enabling fast Li⁺ migration, dendrite-free deposition, and stable battery operation at a high voltage of 4.5 V across a wide temperature range from -40 to 55 °C.
