AkasicDB integrates vector, graph, and relational stores within a single DBMS, and processes queries across the three data models as a single execution plan through an unified query planner and traversal-join-similarity operators. Unlike conventional approaches, which either operate multiple databases separately, as shown in Figure 1(a), or partially integrate them through database extensions, as shown in Figure 1(b), AkasicDB natively integrates vector search, graph traversal, and relational filtering within the DBMS, as illustrated in Figure 1(c). This enables more efficient query optimization and execution.
