The Tat complex looks like a wide-open bowl with a very thin base. This Cryo‑EM reconstruction shows the Tat complex in different orientations, with individual components shown in different colors. The background displays a raw cryo‑EM image used to calculate the density map—in total, about 10,000 images were analyzed.
