Oxygen K-edge X-ray absorption spectra of phosphates in solid and liquid phases. In the solid phase, the P=O π* peak is weak for NaH2PO4 and prominent for Na3PO4. In aqueous Na3PO4 solution, the P=O π* peak is diminished although solid Na3PO4 exhibits a prominent P=O π* peak.
