Oxygen-driven lithium pathways boost solid-state battery performance. Oxygen incorporation in lithium sulfate–oxygen-modified lithium phosphorus sulfur chloride (LSO-LiPSCl) activates lithium-ion (Li⁺) conduction between neighboring lithium cages, helping maintain fast ion transport in the solid electrolyte. Compared with pristine lithium phosphorus sulfur chloride (LiPSCl), LSO-LiPSCl delivers higher capacity under increasing charge–discharge rates and maintains more stable performance during 5 C cycling, highlighting its improved rate capability and cycling durability for all-solid-state batteries.
