Using a micro-engineered “tumor-on-a-chip” model, Sylvester researchers recreated the complex ecosystem surrounding pancreatic tumors and observed how cells interact dynamically. The findings reveal a critical mechanism that may explain why many therapies fail and point to new therapeutic strategies.
