Photospike-based true random number generator (PS-TRNG) for image authentication

Researchers develop PS-TRNG that turns ordinary light-matter interaction into true randomness for image security. It uses a CuV2O6/SnO2 quantum-dot heterostructure, where light-induced stochastic charge trapping and de-trapping produce random photospike currents.
