A scalable reporter phage platform for Klebsiella pneumoniae capsular typing (IMAGE)
Caption
The platform uses a NanoLuc reporter phage and receptor-binding protein swapping to create phages that recognize clinically relevant K1, K2, K47, K57, and K64 capsular types. Directed evolution can further improve binding and detection performance, while the assay can be applied to synthetic urine and polymicrobial samples.
