Breath-responsive optoelectronic clip for touch-free interaction

The optoelectronic clip uses a nanocellulose-partially-encapsulated optical microfiber to convert exhaled breath into an optical ON/OFF signal. The device can be worn on clothing for touch-free alerts and coded communication, or integrated into a face mask for respiratory monitoring.
