Co-modified porous aromatic frameworks enable efficient electrocatalytic NO-to-NH3 conversion (IMAGE)
Caption
The Co-modified porous aromatic framework (PAF-TPP-Co) integrates microporous channels and abundant porphyrin-based coordination sites to efficiently adsorb, activate, and convert nitric oxide (NO) to ammonia (NH3). The atomically dispersed Co-N4 active centers within the framework further promote selective multi-electron reduction, while the porous network facilitates rapid mass transport. This synergistic “adsorption-transport-catalysis” mechanism provides a sustainable strategy for the treatment and valorization of NO emissions.
