Proposed model of SLC38A7-mediated activation of Wnt/β-catenin signaling in gastric cancer (IMAGE)
Caption
Schematic representation of the molecular mechanism by which SLC38A7 promotes GC progression. SLC38A7 interacts with MYH9, facilitating the ubiquitination and proteasomal degradation of GSK-3β. This results in β-catenin stabilization and nuclear accumulation, leading to transcriptional activation of oncogenic targets such as c-MYC and cyclin D1. This cascade enhances GC cell proliferation, migration, invasion, and tumor growth, highlighting SLC38A7 as a potential therapeutic target candidate.
