The solubility threshold of V in Cr2(Ti1-xVx)AlC2 is x = 0.5, exceeding this limit disrupts out-of-plane chemical order. The optimal Cr2(Ti0.5V0.5)AlC2 shows enhanced elastic modulus, hardness, and fracture toughness, demonstrating that site-selective solid solution enables synergistic strengthening-toughening.
