Polymer fibers with twisted microchannels fabricated by thermal drawing. (A) Rotating the fiber during drawing generates the twisted pattern. (B) The microchannels form with small fabrication error, and the fibers are highly flexible and stretchable. (C) The twist induces a swirling flow, while the helix generates Dean vortices.
