In a recent paper, Dartmouth's Siddhartha Jayanti lays out how he created a whole new technical vocabulary for a paper published in his native Telugu, an Indian language with 100 million speakers. He sees the study, the first modern computer science paper published in an Indian language, to be a proof of concept for developing a scientific lexicon across all of India's languages.
