Fig. 1. Schematic diagram of the research process. Thirty-three healthy male participants underwent a 12-h –6° head-down tilt (HDT) bed rest (BR) protocol to simulate microgravity exposure. Multimodal data were collected at baseline and after 12 h of HDT BR, including physiological monitoring, Doppler ultrasound measurements of the internal carotid and vertebral arteries (ICAs and VAs), and arterial spin labeling magnetic resonance imaging to quantify cerebral blood flow (CBF). Paired comparisons were performed to evaluate changes in physiological, ultrasound, and CBF parameters between the 2 time points. Multivariable linear regression models were applied to identify independent predictors of regional changes in CBF. BFV, blood flow volume; DBP, diastolic blood pressure; HDT, head-down tilt; HR, heart rate; MAP, mean arterial pressure; MRI, magnetic resonance imaging; PI, pulsatility index; PP, pulse pressure; RI, resistance index; SBP, systolic blood pressure; S/D, systolic/diastolic ratio; SpO2, peripheral oxygen saturation; Vd, end-diastolic velocity; Vm, mean velocity; Vs, peak systolic velocity.
