Tumor-confined nano-activators for spatially restricted T-cell activation. (IMAGE)
Caption
The tumor-confined nano-activator (iCLANTSP-SAg) delivers tumor-specific promoter-driven plasmids for antigen-independent, broad activation of tumor-infiltrating T cells. Enforcing a strict transcriptional gate, the locally secreted superantigens directly crosslink T cell receptors (TCRs) and major histocompatibility complex class Ⅱ (MHC-Ⅱ) molecules on antigen-presenting cells (APCs), broadly activating tumor-infiltrating T cells and eliciting potent anti-tumor immune responses with minimal systemic toxicity.
