A synthetic GA (sGA)-modified GID1 (mGID1) system enables spatially controlled activation of GA signaling in Arabidopsis roots. The figure shows GA biosynthesis, predicted GA4 movement, and coordinated GA signaling in the endodermis and epidermis, which promotes root elongation.
