LINAC-based stereotactic radiosurgery is an alternative to conventional surgery for managing MTLE (IMAGE)
Caption
Anterior temporal lobectomy (ATL) is the conventional surgical approach for managing drug-resistant mesial temporal lobe epilepsy (MTLE). However, ATL is associated with several side effects, making some patients ineligible for the procedure. Linear accelerator (LINAC)-based radiosurgery can decrease the frequency of seizures and auras in these patients.
