The group’s studies suggest a temporal sequence in which sympathetic stimulation and alpha1-mediated cerebral arterial constriction occur immediately after SAH, followed by neutrophil RAGE-dependent inflammatory cerebrovascular injury during the hyperacute-to-acute phase.
