Candidates develop in the laboratory to improve glioblastoma treatment (IMAGE)
Caption
This illustration shows how SPK17 and SPK17b may work alongside temozolomide (TMZ), a chemotherapy drug, against glioblastoma, an aggressive brain cancer. The compounds are shown to promote DNA damage, reduce TTK protein activity, and disrupt tumour cell division, ultimately leading to programmed cell death.
