A quantum degenerate Fermi gas of Sr atoms confined in a three-dimensional optical lattice demonstrates measurement precision at the 19th decimal point for atomic clocks. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Oct. 6 2017, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by S.L. Campbell at JILA in Boulder, CO, and colleagues was titled, "A Fermi-degenerate three-dimensional optical lattice clock."
