Mark Yandell, Ph.D., professor of human genetics at the University of Utah and co-director of the USTAR Center for Genetic Discovery. He created the VAAST and Phevor algorithms, core components of the Opal platform by Omicia that transforms genomic data into clinically relevant information. Genomics England will be using the technology to interpret the DNA of Britons in the first phase of the 100,000 Genomes Project.
