This is an artist's impressions of the stunning planetarium and exhibition center to be built at ESO Headquarters near Munich, Germany. The new building, conceived by Darmstadt-based architects Bernhardt + Partner, and with construction to be funded by the Klaus Tschira Stiftung, is designed to complement the existing ESO site. When viewed from above the building symbolizes a binary star system about to go supernova.
