A 460-million-year-old jawless relative of modern jawed fishes swims in the shallow coastal waters of modern day Bolivia. This material relates to a paper that appeared in the Oct. 26, 2018 issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by Lauren Sallan at University of Pennsylvania in Philadelphia, PA, and colleagues was titled, "The nearshore cradle of early vertebrate diversification."
