The phylogenetic relationship of four clawed frog species is shown in left with a scale bar (a horizontal arrow). For example, X. tropicalis and X. laevis were estimated to be diverged approximately 60 million years ago. Thermal properties of TRPV1 or TRPA1 are shown in right. In this study, three ancestral TRPV1 were reconstructed. Thermal property of each ancestral TRPV1 is indicated in the box.
