As adults, offspring nursed by NR-supplemented mothers have better motor coordination, better learning and memory, and are less anxious and more resilient to stress. The video shows the improved balance and coordination of mice nursed by NR-supplemented mothers (labeled NR on the video) compared to controls (NC). The "NR mouse" has profoundly superior beam walking skills. It crosses a narrow beam faster, with fewer foot slips and tail grips than the "NC" mouse.
