This is an X-ray emission from the center of the Coma cluster of galaxies, showing the multi-million degree hot gas in the cluster. This image measures 2.2 million light years across. This image relates to a paper that appeared in the 20 Sept., 2013, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by Jeremy Sanders at Max-Planck-Institut für Extraterrestrische Physik in Garching, Germany, and colleagues was titled, "Linear Structures in the Core of the Coma Cluster of Galaxies."
