Worm Clock: This image is based on a C. elegans larva expressing a green fluorescent reporter protein in its seam cells. This image relates to a paper that appeared in the Dec. 14, 2012, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by Yidong Shen at Max Planck Institute for Biology of Ageing in Cologne, Germany, and colleagues was titled, “A Steroid Receptor–microRNA Switch Regulates Life Span in Response to Signals from the Gonad.”
