On Sept. 3, 2019 at 1:05 p.m. EDT (1505 UTC), the MODIS instrument that flies aboard NASA's Aqua satellite showed strong storms (yellow) around 14W's center where cloud top temperatures were as cold as minus 80 degrees Fahrenheit (minus 62.2 Celsius).
