This video shows examples of obstacle-avoidance movement performed in the virtual environment. Randomly selected targets and obstacles are revealed during an instructed-delay period. When the starting position disappears, movement can begin. This video relates to a paper that appeared in the July 20, 2012, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The paper, by T.M. Pearce at Washington University in St. Louis in St. Louis, Mo., and colleagues was titled, "Strategy-Dependent Encoding of Planned Arm Movements in the Dorsal Premotor Cortex."
