This is a map showing the expected reach of flooding caused by a 100-year storm in Malibu, following a range of sea level rise scenarios. Sea level rise is expected to increase the depth and reach of storm flooding. Zuma Beach is the inlet in the southeast corner of the map. Broad Beach is shown in the center of the map. This forecast was part of a new state-commissioned study conducted by economists at San Francisco State University, examining the economic impact of sea level rise in California.
