A partial view of the painted ceiling in one of the best preserved areas of Polychrome Hall. This section of the painted ceiling shows several bison. This image relates to a Policy Forum that appeared in the Oct. 07, 2011, issue of Science, published by AAAS. The Policy Forum, by Dr. C. Saiz-Jimenez of IRNAS-CSIC in Sevilla, Spain, and colleagues, was titled, “Paleolithic Art in Peril: Policy and Science Collide at Altamira Cave.”
